Phillip B. Herzig

HILLSBORO — With a heavy heart, we announce that Phillip Herzig, 31, passed away in his home, surrounded by loved ones. Phillip was born May 3, 1988, and grew up in a loving home with his mother Marie Herzig and his brother George Schaaf, in Claremont. Phillip also leaves behind his father Kenneth Herzig and his grandparents, Frank Kilkenny and Joan Herzig. He also leaves behind two very special people, Roy Butler and Pauline Bumford. Phillip spent his grade school years at Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center in Greenfield. Upon graduating, Phillip and his family found his home in Hillsboro at Farmsteads of New England. Here, in his adult years, Phillip experienced more independence and joy than anyone could have hoped for. Phillip loved being able to explore on the farm and made many friends. With the amount of love that Phillip put out into this world, and how many hearts he has touched, his energy and memory will always live on. A Christian service will be held on Jan. 18, 2020, at Riverstone Church, 719 Main St., Claremont, at 10 a.m. A Celebration of Life will be held in Hillsboro Jan. 18, 2020, at The Moose Lodge, 15 School St., Hillsboro, at 1 p.m. All are invited to share stories and hugs. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Farmsteads of New England, 213 Center Road, Hillsboro, NH 03244.
