It was good to welcome the sun once again after two totally miserable days of rain, snow, and sleet. Together, this trio made quite a mess, especially when the time came to shovel frozen sleet with a frosting of rain worked in. Clearing that layer off car roofs and hoods was a challenge that required patience and a knack for chopping. Toss in plenty of slush and shoveling proved to be a test.
The last portion of the past week was on the peaceful side of winter with the exception of some minor snowfalls that popped up now and then. “Minor” was in the 1-inch area. According to the weatherman, there is one very pleasant day directly ahead when the afternoon temperature is projected to reach the mid 50-degree level.
