The Sunapee School Board will hold a public Bond Hearing at the Sunapee Middle High School Music Room, 10 North Road, Sunapee, at 5 p.m. to discuss a proposed bond for a renovation/construction project at the Sunapee Middle High School ,which will be acted on at the Annual School District Meeting Deliberative Session on Feb. 3 and voting on March 10. At 5:30 p.m. immediately following the Bond Hearing, the Sunapee School Board will hold a public Budget Hearing to discuss the proposed 2020-21 School District Budget. If inclement weather forces cancellation of the public hearings, they will be held at the same place on Thursday, Jan. 16 at 5 p.m.

Tracy Library in New London will host a Friends of Mount Sunapee Powerpoint presentation entitled Everlasting Forests, the Mount Sunapee Story at 7 p.m. at 304 Main St., New London. The event is open to the public and is free. The focus of the presentation will be the central role Mount Sunapee’s unique forests have played in the preservation of Mount Sunapee. From its beginnings as Forest Society’s first forest reservation in 1911 to its documentation by the State of New Hampshire the rare old forested system on Mount Sunapee is an irreplaceable part of New Hampshire’s history and natural heritage. At Kezar Lake and Muster Field Farm Museum, free, 9 a.m. until the ice is in. Ice cutting by gas powered saw and finished by hand will be demonstrated by volunteers. Ice harvest will be loaded by the ice block fulcrum into wagons and vehicles, then hauled to the farm. The Ice House will be fully stacked with block ice for use at the summer events. Ryder Corner School House will be warm and welcoming with her beverages, homemade baked goods and hot soups. Antique cars, converted into snowmobiles, will be on display at the farm.
