1994

NEWPORT—Brandi Fish, who was hitting from everywhere on the floor, burned the nets for 25 points as the Tigers beat Fall Mountain, 47-44, in the finale for both teams. Newport reached the win column for the second time. Melissa Cedarman added nine points.

SUNAPEE—Junior Jenn Colby, who went down with a serious knee injury a year ago, was the belle of the ball as she passed the 1,000-point mark during the Lakers 72-22 romp over Derryfield. Colby finished with 21 points.

CLAREMONT—Showing great intensity throughout the game, Stevens clobbered Monadnock, 79-41. Brad Ferland pumped in 31 points and pulled down 14 rebounds. Stevens shot a hot 24-for-59 from the floor.

LANGDON—Hopkinton nipped Fall Mountain, 67-66, in triple overtime in a Class M girls game. Kate Weld led the Wildcats with 21 points and Sarah Sylvester added 19. Sylvester missed the front end of a one-and-one with no time left on the clock to seal the victory for Hopkinton.

1989

NEWPORT—Mike Skarin and the Tigers continue on a tear as they beat Woodsville for the second time, 79-76. Skarin had 41 points as Newport led by 10 points most of the night.

SUNAPEE—Shawn Saunders continued his fine season with 22 points to lead the Lakers. Unfortunately, Sunapee dropped a 77-62 decision to Calvary Christian. Scott Flint added 11 points for the Lakers who are fighting for a tournament spot.

CLAREMONT—Bill Blish had 25 points and Chris Walker added 14 in the Cards 78-61 loss to Fall Mountain. The game was much closer than the final score indicated. Stevens tied the game twice midway through the final quarter.

LANGDON—Eric Hunter scored 31 points and Fall Mountain shot 60 percent from the floor in a 78-61 win over Stevens. In addition, he had 10 rebounds, three blocked shots, three steals and three assists.

1974

NEWPORT—The Tigers placed three players in double figures in a 68-56 victory over Kearsarge. Mike Kennedy hit for 18, Bob Dykeman, 16, and Randy Murphy, 12. Newport’s record is 3-13 and the hope for post-season play came to an end when Woodsville lost to Littleton.

SUNAPEE— Down by 10 points with seven minutes to go the Lakers rallied to cut the deficit to one but a late Ashland surge squelched the Lakers hopes, 60-56. John Fortier had a big game with 24 points

CLAREMONT—Brian Johnson had his best game as a Stevens Cardinal with a 16-point, 11-rebound effort in the Cards 61-46 victory over Littleton. Norm Anderson had 17 points in a fine effort while Dana Hadley and Greg Russell each chipped in with 10 points.
