NEWPORT — The New Hampshire State Council on the Arts has announced it is now accepting applications for its grant programs and has scheduled four regional workshops designed to help applicants seeking Arts Council funding during the upcoming fiscal year.
At each workshop, Arts Council staff will present an overview of its programs, detail changes to grant guidelines and provide descriptions of which grants will be offered for projects taking place between July 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021. Fiscal Year 2021.
Other topics will include what types of projects the Arts Council funds, who is eligible to apply for grants, descriptions of the application and the grant panel process, and how to use the online grant system.
Fiscal Year 2021 Arts Council grant categories include artist entrepreneurial, arts in health, artist residencies in schools, arts for community engagement, folk life and traditional arts projects, traditional arts apprenticeships and youth arts projects.
The workshops are designed for both new and former applicants. Sessions are scheduled at the following places and times:
Rochester Performance and Arts Center; Thursday, February 20, 1-2 p.m.
New Hampshire Forest and Lands North Country Resource Center, Lancaster; Tuesday, February 25, noon-1:30 p.m.
The Library Arts Center, Newport; Wednesday, March 4, 11:30 a.m.to12:30 p.m.
Currier Museum of Art, Manchester; Thursday, March 5, 1-2 p.m.
There is no charge to attend the workshops, but space is limited and online registration is required in advance.
