We lay awake some mornings thinking about the day and what there is to do at the Center. You may be thinking that is an odd thing to think about, but it gets us out of the house and away from the chores we don’t want to do… like dusting. So we are there musing and suddenly we hear a spring bird. Woohoo! Or it may be the bird clock in the kitchen. Mmmm. Sounded good anyway. OK. Off to the Center.
The Claremont Country Quilters will meet on Wednesday, March 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This meeting will be about Scrappy Jelly Rolls or bring your own project. We have heard several members say this group is just too much fun. Penny said there is always room for more. Give it a go!
Special Notice: There will be no Sunday at the Center on March 1 and March 22 due to rentals.
We were going over the list of what we offer you the other day and realized we have not asked members and non members in a long time what they might like. So, what would you like to see us offer? Here is what we have to offer now: ping pong, pool, chess, bingo, cribbage, Hand and Foot, knitting (and needlework), Mahjongg, meals, exercise and Corn Hole (will move to the outside weather permitting). There is talk about Bocci and bringing coloring back. Let us know.
The membership meeting is Tuesday, March 3 at 12:45 p.m. Come for lunch and stay for your chance to speak up. After all, it is your Center.
Have you signed up for the Cookie Class yet? We attended the first one and it was a riot! Mindy is so funny and patient. Any cookie you do is beautiful because it is your cookie. Just think about teaching your learned skills to your grandchildren or great grandchildren. Or giving a batch for their class cookie sale. Come in or call the Center to sign up. The cost is $5 and believe us, it is worth every penny.
Our great kitchen volunteers are at it again! It is a pleasure that they present you with an authentic Irish dinner complete with Irish desserts on Tuesday, March 17 at 11:45 a.m. We will give you the details in the next newsletter. The cost will be $10. We can’t wait for that menu to come out.

Thought for the Week: Sometimes I shock myself with the stuff I say and do. Other times, I try to leave the car with the seat belt on. Have a good week everyone. Stay warm.
