Charlestown Senior Center News: March 14, 2020

The board and officers of the Charlestown Senior Center have decided to cancel the community potluck scheduled for Sunday, March 29, and our turkey supper scheduled for Sunday, April 5. We want our senior center members, friends and community members to remain safe from the coronavirus. We hope to see you all on Saturday, May 2, for the next turkey supper and for a community potluck at a later date.

We are making plans to have a sock hop on Saturday, May 23, with dance lessons taking place on Saturday, April 25, and Saturday, May 9. We will have more information about this in a future column.

The first day of spring arrives on Thursday, March 19. The last time spring arrived this early was in 1896 – 124 years ago. As the warmer weather arrives, we wish our members and friends good health.

The Charlestown Senior Center office is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Our address is 223 Springfield Road, Charlestown, NH 03603. Phone number is 603-826-5987. If the Fall Mountain schools are closed or delayed due to snow or ice, we are closed. Our closings are listed on WMUR-TV and online at wmur.com.
