Once again this year, we will be hosting the AARP Tax program. Appointments can now be made on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings by calling the Springfield Senior Center at 802-885-3933.
The trips have been announced! We will be traveling to Ogunquit Playhouse to see “Dirty Dancing” on Wednesday, June 10; Gloucester Harbor Cruise Lobsterbake on Tuesday, July 28; New London Playhouse to see “Always Patsy Cline” on Wednesday, August 26.; Lake Sunapee Luncheon Cruise on Sep. 11; Lake George Luncheon Theater on Thursday, Oct. 8; and Christmas in the White Mountains with Mark Shelton at Indian Head Resort on Thursday, Nov. 12.
Our larger overnight trip to the Nantucket Inn will be on Sep. 14-15. Our large trip for Sep. 2021 will be “Spotlight on Nashville.” There is still room on our 2020 trip Canadian Rockies & Glacier National Park on Sep. 1-7.
We have postponed the MGM Casino trip at this time.
Thank you to Paul Ippolito who treated us to an afternoon of fun music. Thanks to Linda Wilson for chairing the refreshments along with the help of Jane Kelly. Also to Kathy Petelle, Sandi Tarbell, Linda Roys, Teri Sharpe, Linda Wilson, and Cathy Honeywell for making refreshments for this event.
On Monday, March 16, at 1 p.m., will be board games. Come on down and have some fun. On Wednesday, March 18, the Songsters will be performing “It’s A Great Day for Irish Eyes” Come on out and enjoy an afternoon of music. On Friday, March 20, at 1 p.m., join us for some Corn Hole and Shuffleboard. Game Day will be on Wednesday, March 25, at 1 p.m. Nickel Bingo will be on Friday, March 27, at 1 p.m. Come on down and have some fun.
March’s Book Club will meet on Thursday, March 26 at 1 p.m. We are reading “Where the Crawdads Sing” by Delia Owens. Anyone is welcome to attend at the Springfield Town Library.
Seeing cold and flu season is here, please be kind if you are too sick to attend. We have added several hand sanitizers around the building to use. Also, hand washing is a must. If you have a cough, fever, temperature, feeling unwell, cold or flu symptoms please stay home. We all need to do our part to help each other be well.
