A few snowflakes fell

With the last rainstorm and warmer afternoons, there is not much snow left on the ground and there has been no snow falling thus far in March, which is rather unusual.

One victory during this warmup has been the response by home furnaces. They’re not coming on so often.

A few snowflakes fell before daybreak on Tuesday but not enough to cover the ground.

At the Mount Washington Observatory (6,288 feet) he temperature at 7 a.m. on Tuesday was 9.4 degrees with a wind chill of -14. No snow fell over the past 24-hour period.
