NEWPORT — The filing period for Newport Town Offices opens on Wednesday. March 25 and will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 3.
Barry Connell has announced he will be seeking re-election to a second three-year term. William Wilmot Jr. will not be running for re-election after serving for two full terms and eight months.
Other openings include Town Clerk (3-year term); Town Treasurer (3-year term); Supervisor of the Checklist (6-year term); Moderator (2-year term) and Trustee of Trust Funds (3 year term).
The Town Office is currently processing dog licenses that has a deadline of April 30.
