Claremont Circuit Court – March 19

CLAREMONT — The following cases were heard in Claremont Circuit Court during the week ending March 14:

Kayla M. Marsh, 28, 131 Mulberry St., Claremont, pleaded no contest and was found guilty to theft by deception Jan. 3, 2019 in Claremont, and sentenced to six months in the Sullivan County House of Corrections, suspended. She pleaded no contest to a second charge of theft by deception Jan 5, 2019 in Claremont, was found guilty and given a six-month suspended sentence to the HOC. She was ordered to make restitution in the amount of $1,025 to the victim.

Cody P. Croteau, 35, 15 Newman St., Keene, pleaded guilty to theft by unauthorized taking on or before June 24, 2016 in Charlestown, was fined $1,000 with $750 suspended and ordered to make restitution of $100.

Bruce Shampney, 47, Center Barnstead, pleaded guilty to speeding 64 mph in a 50 mph zone in Charlestown and was fined $200. He pleaded innocent to DUI-Impairment and reckless operation. Both charges were dismissed.

Angela C. Coster, 51, 94 Grove St., Claremont, pleaded guilty to reckless driving Sept. 28 in Claremont, was fined $500 and her license revoked for 60 days. She pleaded innocent to DUI-Impairment and the charge was dismissed.

Connor Benson, 22, 134 Merrill St., Springfield, Vt., pleaded innocent to DUI Dec. 15 in Claremont, was found guilty, fined $500 and his license revoked for nine months. A charge of DUI-Impairment was dismissed.

Celeste A. Devost, 41, White River Jct., pleaded guilty to willful concealment, was fined $250 and sentenced to 30 days in the HOC, suspended.

Justin Martin, 30, 5485 Hemlock Road, Charlestown, pleaded guilty to placing bait in the woods near Elm Street in Claremont without submitting a permit with New Hampshire Fish and Game Wildlife Division and was fined $124.

Jeffrey J. Williams, 27, 266 Sugar River Drive, Claremont, was sentenced to 12 months in the HOC for violation of a protective order Dec. 15 in Unity. He was given credit for pretrial confinement of three days.

Alfred H. Dole, 49, 3 Camden Ave., Apartment 2, Claremont, pleaded innocent to stalking—notice of order, and the charge was placed on file without a finding. He was also found guilty of simple assault/physical contact on Jan. 4, 2020 and was sentenced to six months in the HOC, all suspended. He received credit for one day of pretrial confinement. Dole pleaded guilty to stalking Jan. 25 and was sentenced to six months at the HOC with credit for 12 days of pretrial confinement and the remainder all suspended. A breach of bail charge was dismissed.

Jason A. Christensen, 34, 50 Myrtle St., Apartment 2, Claremont, pleaded guilty to a domestic violation Dec. 27 at Claremont, was assessed a mandatory fine of $50 and sentenced to 12 months in the HOC, all suspended and placed on probation for two years. He pleaded innocent to reckless conduct—domestic violence and the charge was placed on file, not to be brought forward after one year. He pleaded innocent to a charge of endangering the welfare of a child and the charge was placed on file without a finding. He pleaded innocent to a domestic violation charge Dec. 27 and the charge was dismissed.

Jessica L. Sarra, 38, 515 Main St., No. 3, Chester, Vt., pleaded innocent to driving after revocation/suspension Oct. 16 in Charlestown and the charge was placed on file without a finding.

Morgan Fischer, 19, 31 Madison Place, Claremont, had a charge of operating without a valid license Jan. 20 in Claremont placed on file without a finding.

Gabrielle LaBounty, 19, 106 Sullivan St., Claremont, had a charge of improper person operating a vehicle Jan 20 in Claremont placed on file without a finding.

A charge of driving after revocation/suspension Jan. 18 in Claremont against Benjamin R. Poland, 1186 Acworth Road, Charlestown was placed on file without finding.

A charge of disorderly conduct against Jeffrey B. Schneider, 57 Broad St., Apartment 7, Claremont, was placed on file without finding.

A charge of rabies, vaccination required for dogs against Justin J. Wagner, Breakneck Hill Road, Charlestown, was placed on file without a finding.

A charge of disorderly conduct Jan. 11 in Claremont against Erica J. Walker, 38, 57 Broad St., Apartment 7, Claremont, was placed on file without a finding.

A charge of unlawful possession/intoxication against Anna N. Stiffler, 14 Green St., Apartment 2, Claremont, was placed on file without a finding.

Shawn A. Hodgdon, 6 Strawberry Row, Apartment 35, Charlestown, pleaded guilty to operating with an expired license and was fined $100.

Bradford Aldrich, 63, 323 Connecticut Heights Road, Charlestown, pleaded guilty to driving after revocation/suspension Nov. 11 and was fined $250, A charge of operating with a suspended vehicle registration was placed on file without a finding.
