We are having a hard time writing this week’s newsletter. We don’t know what is going to happen from one minute to the next. Above all, we want to service our seniors safely as much as we can. Please be patient with us as we make some transitions.
Cancellations: The Men’s Breakfast scheduled for Monday, March 23, has been canceled. The Senior Bingo on Wednesdays has also been canceled.
Activities, however, will continue for members only. There will be no more then 10 members in one space. No free memberships will be offered at this time.
Now for some good things.
We will be having our Tuesday and Thursday meals. Take-out only! Pay at the left side door, then pick-up. Meals will be served from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Members are $4, nonmembers are $5. Walk-ins are welcome. All meal subject to change due to availability.
Menu for the week:
Tuesday, March 24
Soup, Ken’s special liver and onions in piquant sauce (or hamburger), broccoli and cauliflower, freshly made apple crisp and whipped cream.
Thursday, March 26
Homemade corn chowder, poor man’s steak, mashed potato and fresh baked pumpkin pie.
The Turkey Dinner scheduled for Saturday, March 21, will also be take-out only. Meals will be served from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $10. Please call (603) 543-5998 ahead to order to reserve your meal. Meals can be picked up at the left side door in the Mozdon Room. We know you will still enjoy the meal at home, especially the homemade pies.
Our Craft Fair on April 25 and Penny Sale on May 3 are still scheduled. We will let you know if anything changes.
Special Notices:
The VNA clinics have been cancelled until May. AARP Tax Prep has been cancelled until further notice. WW has been suspended at this time.
Because of the great need, there will be a blood drive on April 20 from noon to 5 p.m. Please give if you can.
To our members:
Elections to the board have been postponed until June 2. The slate of candidates will be on the May 4 ballot. We are accepting applications until April 28. Please consider helping us function for our seniors.
We are trying hard to keep some normalcy here. If you have any questions, please call. Someone will be glad to find an answer for you.
Thought for the Week:
We are not the product of our circumstances. We are the product of our decisions.
Please stay safe everyone. Drink your water, wash your hands, binge watch your favorite series, make popcorn, take a nap, call a friend, read a book and color.
Laughter and lively conversation always welcome here.
