To Sunapee residents:
Thank you for supporting all non-construction school warrant articles and thank you for record turnout on voting day. For the one school warrant that did not pass, the new school project, almost half the voters said yes, half said no (49% to 51%). That gives us a lot to work with as a highly engaged community as we look forward and work together towards a solution to our brick and mortar deficiencies.
Through this challenging time of COVID-19 impacts, future board and committee meetings will follow guidelines and be scheduled appropriately. There will be opportunities to come together again as a community, when the time is right, for discussions around alternatives to new school construction and how we continue to evolve and move education forward in Sunapee.
Our teachers and staff have embraced the challenges presented by the Governor’s directive for remote learning, so pre-K through 12 education in Sunapee is entering its next phase. Thank you again for your support of Sunapee Schools.
Wishing everyone the best.
