Yvonne J. McNeil SPRINGFIELD — Yvonne J. McNeil, 68, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2020, at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, New Hampshire. She was born on Aug. 20, 1951, in Springfield, the daughter of Harold and Marion Grout. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1969. She married Roger McNeil in the fall of that year, and then went on to start their family which was her greatest joy. She worked many years for Ascutney Mountain Resort in Brownsville. Yvonne lived her life to the fullest and always had a great time. You never had to guess what she was thinking, she wore her heart on her sleeve. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome. Her friends and family were her top priority, especially her sons, grandchildren and her best friend and sister, Brenda. Yvonne loved music of all kinds and wasn’t afraid to break out in a song. She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey and his wife Sarah, of Chelsea; and Jason and his wife Polly of Charlestown, New Hampshire; granddaughters, Jessica Adeniyi and her husband, Jeremiah of Tacoma, Washington; and Jaylin McNeil of Charlestown, New Hampshire; grandson, Brady McNeil and his fiancé, Marlene of Montpelier; great grandchildren, Julianna and Jakoby of Tacoma, Washington; sisters, Beverly Clark and her husband John, of Perkinsville; and Brenda Waysville and her husband Mike, of Grafton; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Roger; her father, Harold; and her mother, Marion. A graveside service at the Ascutneyville Cemetery in Ascutney followed by a celebration of her life will be announced later this summer.
