Frederick Leroy Igou, Jr. NEWPORT — Frederick Leroy Igou Jr., 72, died suddenly at home on March 26, 2020. He was born on Nov. 21, 1947, in Altoona, Pennsylvania. to the late Frederick and Miriam (McCahan) Igou. During hard times, the family decided to move to Niagara Falls, New York. Fred graduated high school and began working at Union Carbide. He married the love of his life, Betty Burnett. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially if it involved hunting or fishing. He loved farming and tending to his animals. However, his most happiest moments involved supporting his children and grandchildren in all their endeavors. He tried his best to never miss a game or event. Becoming a great-grandfather filled him with immense pride. He will be sorely missed by all. Fred is predeceased by his parents.
