Josephine G. Jarvis WEATHERSFIELD, VT — Josephine G. Jarvis, 90, died Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at Elmwood Center in Claremont. Josephine was born July 7, 1929, in Windsor, a daughter of Joseph and Mary (Simoneli) Garcia. She attended the Windsor schools. Josephine was married to Norman W. Jarvis in Windsor on Aug. 25, 1951. They made their home in Weathersfield, where they operated the family dairy farm. Josephine enjoyed square dancing was passionate about music and loved to sing along with the radio. She had a green thumb and enjoyed flower gardening. Being a dairy farmer she refined her butter making skills, making some of the best butter her children can remember. She is predeceased by her husband Norman; two daughters, Barbara Martin and Betty Jarvis; her sisters Margaret Godfrey and Eda McAllister, Ramona Demeter and Julia Flood. Josephine is survived by two daughters, Rose Lovell of Claremont; Linda Wilcox of Claremont; two sons, Larry Jarvis of Chincoteague, Virginia; and Andrew Jarvis of Perkinsville; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews A funeral service will be held at a later date.
