May I remind the factious leaders of the federal government of these United States of America that the inhabitants of this great nation are not remiss of the reckless incompetence exhibited through insufficient justifications of inadequate efforts to promote the progress of science and knowledge therefrom garnered and to procure the appropriate resources necessary to ensure our collective health and security. This severe lack of enlightened authority in the midst of grave uncertainty has resulted in an unequivocal violation of notable duties that lay at the foundation of our republic established by the people, enabled on behalf of the people, and executed for the benefit of the people.
Party lines shall not impede our ability to act in a manner befitting the humanitarian ideals and morals on which our society is formed upon. Yet, as I write, indifference plagues our attempts to answer a nationwide plea for help; and in place of declarations of support, nonsensical banter and useless deliberation that only perpetuate this dangerous divide contribute to an already vast waste of dear time otherwise reserved for decisive action. Such obstructions include the placement of the name of the President of the United States of America on checks dedicated to the relief of a country in grief and the restriction of undocumented taxpayers from obtaining such essential funds.
As the first instance’s preposterous nature is particularly self-evident, allow me to offer some sentiments of the latter.
Sorrowful nations shed the tears of its people, all inhabitants, unrestricted by the bounds of identity for which we estimate allegiance toward a common cause, and free of biased influence with regard to privilege and societal inflictions of discrimination on the basis of color, gender, national origin, race, or wealth, for it remains an imperative truth that those who partake in the resolute actions established for the betterment of their fellow neighbor shall always display their liberties as an appendage of the province where all inalienable rights are secured without fear of detainment or exclusion. In addition to this, times of heightened precariousness always result in one ultimate conviction; while primitive instincts persuade us to prioritize our individual existence, humanity inevitably makes the realization that survival of the solitary is meritless unless our collective security is principally undertaken. I beseech you, let not this be the end of our marvelous instinct to seek others before self, compassion before power, light before darkness.
From this moment of misgiving we must not merely seek the preservation of our past dogmas, for the principles that have defined and guided us are no longer enough. We must rise above our futile differences to realize a new world, a better world, one that chooses collaboration over solitude. The sun sets last on the hill. All eyes are now fixed on you, our distinguished representatives.
Why did you not do all that was possible to avert the storm in which we currently find ourselves? Errors were always inevitable in response to such an insurmountable challenge. But why do you stand idle now?
Here is yet another occasion to provide for the people. Just remember: opportunities produce leaders, not competence.
