Alexander A. Puksta

Alexander A. Puksta CLAREMONT — Alexander A. Puksta, age 59, died on Monday, May 4, 2020, in his hometown of Claremont, New Hampshire. He was born in Claremont on Jan. 11, 1961, the son of Charles P. Puksta and Lorraine D. (Leocha) Puksta who shared strong Polish descent. He married his wife, Christine (Trudel) Puksta, on May 9, 1992, in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. He attended Stevens High School and graduated in 1979. He was heavily involved in theater productions throughout his tenure in high school and playing the trumpet for the Stevens High School marching band which he loved being part of. He also participated in All State Chorus. He pursued a greater education and received an Associate degree in Industrial Electricity from Manchester Community College. He then received a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Management from the University of San Francisco. His career included working for multiple software companies. Additional jobs included running his own business, Puksta Locksmithing, and most recently, working as the manager of the Earle Bourden Center here in Claremont. In addition to this work, Alex was involved in the community through his continuous support of Stevens High School sports teams as their best cheerleader and game announcer. He was also heavily involved with St. Joseph’s Parish by singing in the choir and volunteering for its annual lawn party. He was known for his big hugs, and enthusiasm for life. Alexander is also survived by his four children, son William Puksta and wife Kelley from Manchester, New Hampshire, son Michael Puksta, daughter Audrey Puksta and son Dominic Puksta, all from Claremont. Siblings include sisters Mary Todd and Julianna Maglathlin of Wallingford, Pennsylvania; brothers Charles Puksta Jr. and wife Nancy from San Diego, California, Steve Puksta and wife Terri, David Puksta and wife Helena, all from Nashua, New Hampshire, Fred Puksta and wife Leeann from Keene, New Hampshire. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, Due to the pandemic, funeral services will be private and open to the Puksta family only. A celebration of life is scheduled later in the year and will be hosted by the entire Puksta family. Arrangements are with Stringer Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 146 Broad St., Claremont, NH 03743.
