GILSUM — The Cheshire County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing woman from the town of Gilsum.
Eleanor Turetsky, 75, was last seen around May 1, according to a news release issued by the sheriff’s office Thursday. She currently resides on Sullivan Center Road near Keene.
Turetsky is described by police as white, approximately 5-foot-6 and 100 pounds, with grey hair. According to police, Turetsky is usually seen wearing “multiple layers of clothing” and often “speaks with her hand in front of her mouth.”
In a phone conversation early Friday morning, Lt. Caleb Dodson of the Cheshire County Sheriff’s Office said that an initial report regarding Turetsky’s whereabouts was submitted last week by Elderly & Adult Services who frequently check up on her. Turetsky is known to live a reclusive lifestyle, according to Dodson. Law enforcement sent out a press release to area news organizations Thursday as no information about her present location could be ascertained.
No information pertaining to ongoing or planned searches by law enforcement or members of the public was released.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (603) 352-4238 or (603) 355-2000.
