I would like to personally thank the members of the Cornish Fair Committee for doing the right thing and canceling the 2020 Cornish Fair.
Many people, like myself, love the fair, but some don’t realize that the committee’s decision was made in the best interest of both public health and safety. Doing the right thing isn’t always popular, and sometimes requires facing a small amount of verbal backlash. Although we, the fairgoers, will miss the cows, rides, food, old tractors and 4H members showing off their hard work, deep down we know that the 2021 Cornish Fair will even be more fun and safe!
