Phyllis J. Whitmore

Phyllis J. Whitmore CHARLESTOWN — Phyllis J. Whitmore, 94, of Charlestown, passed away Friday, June 19, 2020. Phyllis was born March 26, 1926, in E. Syracuse, New York, to Leonard and Linda (Smith) Whitmore. She was raised by Walter and Bernice Bliss of Georgetown, New York. She was also predeceased by her brother Donald Whitmore and sister Eleanor E Frawley, brother Nelson E Whitman, and long-time friend Evelyn Brewer. She is survived by sisters Joan Greene of Syracuse, N.Y.; Loraine Masserio of Fla.;, Marilyn Parsons of Fla.; and Barbara Haynes of Claremont; a sister-in-law, Sandra Whitmore of Syracuse, N.Y.; Cam Eldred and family of California and New Hampshire; Jon Brewer of Summerfield, Fla.; Ann Dewey and family of Newport; Beth Perry and children of Castleton, Vt.; Laurie Cook of Arizona; Karen Bell of Sarasota, Fla.; Katie Reveglia of Sarasota, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. She enjoyed gardening and birding, sharing her stories and a good laugh, visiting with her missionary friends and church friends. She was a graduate of the Practical Bible Training School now known as Davis College in Johnson City, New York, and retired from Mary Hitchcock Hospital after 23 years of service. Friends and family are invited to a graveside service for Phyllis at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 18, 2020, at Countryside Cemetery in Enfield, New Hampshire.
