The board regrets to announce that the Claremont Senior Center will be closed until further notice. All normal activities are suspended except for Blood Drives, VNA foot clinics, drive-thru meals, Miracle Ear and special events. When we reopen in September, we hope to see everyone there with their favorite mask on. The kitchen staff is looking to start up our monthly Saturday dinner in September. It is planned as a drive-thru. Watch for updates. When we reopen, masks will continue to be mandatory during the pandemic and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and universal guidelines are suggested for all members all the time to protect you and me. We thank you for your cooperation and patience on the matter.

The summer concerts have been great fun. We will continue to social distance. The summer concerts have been great fun. On Aug. 8, we had a great time with Gerry Grimo and the East Bay Jazz. The concert was sponsored by Roz Caplan and Century 21 Highview Realty. Those who attended our final summer concert had a good time, even though we had to stop 20 minutes early due to a light rain shower. The center is in the process of booking a schedule for next summer.
