Letter to the Editor: I’m endorsing Beatriz Pastor for State Senate

There are four weeks until the New Hampshire State Primary, and I’m so excited to endorse Beatriz Pastor for District 5 State Senate. I first spoke with Beatriz a few weeks ago over Zoom and during our conversation she naturally touched upon all of the issues I was planning to ask her about. She is a smart, charismatic leader and we would be lucky to have her representing the District 5 in the New Hampshire State Senate.

Beatriz served six years in the New Hampshire House of Representatives and during that time she was a champion of sustainable environmental policy — such as Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE), legislation that provides major energy savings for merchants in the Granite State. As a lifelong educator Beatriz knows the problems that face New Hampshire students, families, and teachers — and in the State Senate she will advocate for a more equitable education system. Beatriz already sponsored legislation to expand broadband from the New Hampshire House; she has made broadband access a key component of her campaign and she will fight for increased access to high-speed internet for all.

Beatriz understands the issues that matter to the people and she will fight for all of us in the New Hampshire State Senate. She knows how to get things done, and has the ideas to keep New Hampshire moving forward. I am proud to support Beatriz, and progressive democratic values, in her run for State Senate.

Remember to vote for Beatriz Pastor, by mail, or at the ballot box on Sept. 8!
