CLAREMONT — New Hampshire authorities continue to investigate the untimely death of a week-old infant in Claremont, according to a press release issued by the state Attorney General’s Office Sunday afternoon.
Law enforcement personnel with the Claremont Police Department responding to a 911 call from a residence on Winter Street at approximately 7:40 a.m. on Sunday found 7-day-old Samara Hutnick in “medical distress,” according to the state Attorney General’s Office. Hutnick was transported to a hospital where she later died.
The cause and manner of death are currently being withheld pending further investigation by the Claremont Police Department, New Hampshire State Police and the state Attorney General’s Office, but authorities confirmed that an autopsy was performed Monday.
