GRAFTON, Vt. — The Grafton Historical Society will hold a special fundraising Estate Sale event Sept. 12 from 9 a.m, to 3 p.m. on Chester Road in Grafton to help with its operating expenses.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the museum remained closed for part of its operating season. It canceled its fundraising events as well as its annual Bake Sale on Labor Day. Now the museum is open on its usual days, but the historical society needs to raise money to continue its operations.
A member of the Grafton Historical Society has donated a number of items such as furniture, home furnishings, household goods, tools and other items for the fundraising event. The Grafton Historical Society Estate Sale will be held on private property at 1065 Chester Road in Grafton. The sale will be run by the Grafton Historical Society and all proceeds will go to the society.
A few vintage items will be included in the sale such as 1962 Silverton radio/hifi, an old oak ice box, vintage linens and clocks.
Other items for sale will be dining table sets, bedroom set and furniture, tables, lamps and book cases. Also included are home decorating items, kitchen items, linens and quilts, tools and garden tools. A few fine art pieces from the owners’ former gallery will also be on sale.
Attendees are asked to park in a specially designated area across from the property and not on the road and to enter via the driveway opening. COVID-19 restrictions will be applied, and a limited number of people will be allowed in at one time.
