Cynthia A. O’Clair

Cynthia A. O’Clair GOSHEN — Cynthia A. O’Clair, 66, died peacefully on Aug. 27, 2020, at her home, surrounded by family, after several years of battling cancer. She was born on May 4, 1954, in Windsor, Vermont, to the late Frank and Margaret (Runnells) Harris. Cindy married her husband, Fred O’Clair Jr., and they shared 42 years together in the Newport/Goshen area. Cindy was a kind and caring woman with a strong will. She loved her work at Claremont Head Start Center where she was employed for more than 40 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Cindy would always put other people first and would lend a hand to anyone. She adored her cats, dogs and most animals, and also liked shopping. She took pleasure in being outdoors and was always up for a camping trip. Surviving family members include her husband, Fred O’Clair Jr. of Goshen; daughter, Christina Asanowicz of North Sutton; son, Jason Asanowicz and wife Michelle of Acworth; brother, Frank Harris Jr.; sisters, Linda Howard, Janet Terrian and Diane Kelsea; and grandchildren, Olivia Hamilton, Maddie Thorp and Garrett Asanowicz; and many extended family members and friends. Memorial donations may be made to Sullivan County Humane Society at 14 Tremont St., Claremont, NH 03743. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
