Christine N. (Weisner) Johns

Christine N. (Weisner) Johns NEWPORT — Christine Noelle (Weisner) Johns of Newport, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 19, 2020, at the age of 64. Christine was born in Hartford, Connecticut, on Dec. 25, 1955, the daughter of the late Norman Jean and Cecile (Rousseau) Weisner. She lived in Connecticut where she enjoyed a very happy childhood with her siblings, Cindy, Brian, Bud and Ray. In 1977, she married William Johns of Oakville, Connecticut. Soon after, they moved to Brattleboro, Vermont, and then to Grantham, New Hampshire, where she spent many years working at Claremont Subaru, as well as Mascoma Savings Bank. In 2001, Christine traveled across the country to Oregon State where she enjoyed the nature and beauty of God’s great Earth. Upon arriving back to New Hampshire, Christine moved to Sunapee, New Hampshire, where she loved the many years of working at Springledge Farm in New London, New Hampshire, as well as the Mount Sunapee Resort as an accountant. Over recent years, Christine could be seen completing her puzzles and crafts that she loved to spend time on. She loved her cat, Emmy, immensely and the community around her. She leaves behind many family and friends. Christine is survived by her son, Aaron Johns (Cassie Johns) of Dorchester, New Hampshire; siblings, Brian Weisner (Julia Weisner) of Naugatuck, Connectiut, Bud Weisner (Janet Weisner) of Willington, Connecticut, and Raymond Weisner of Willington, Connecticut; grandson, Dylan Johns; nephews, Justin and Christopher, and nieces, Bridget, Danielle, Christina and Nicole; along with many cousins and friends. Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Norman Jean and Cecile (Rousseau) Weisner; sister, Cindy Miltamore; and nephew, Nicolas Weisner. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19. at 1 o’clock in the afternoon in the Eastman Cemetery located at 490 North Road, Sunapee, New Hampshire. We ask that you please wear a mask and exercise social distancing in order to help everyone be and feel safe. Arrangements are by Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home in Newport, New Hampshire.
