Edward C. “Ed” Pelton CLAREMONT — Edward C. “Ed” Pelton, 70, of Pleasant Street in Claremont, New Hampshire, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2020, at the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, following a brief illness. He was born in Bellows Falls, Vermont, on Feb. 9, 1950, the son of Roger and Veronica (Soucie) Pelton and had been a longtime area resident. Ed had been employed as the director of IT at the Vermont Law School in Royalton. He enjoyed flower gardening and tinkering on his cars. Members of his family include two daughters, Julie LeBlanc, Stratham, New Hampshire, Barbi Makela and husband Matt, Claremont; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Roger Pelton, Michael Pelton, both of Alstead, New Hampshire; two sisters, Katherine Targett, Keene, New Hampshire, Anne Pratt, Westmoreland, New Hampshire; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and three brothers, Francis Pelton, Walter Pelton and William Pelton. There will be no visiting hours. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Jack Byrne Center, 154 Hitchcock Loop Road, Lebanon, NH 03756.
