There are signs of autumn in the air – cooler weather, the leaves slowly turning to red, yellow and orange.
We had a good attendance at our first turkey supper of 2020 on Sept. 5. Many thanks to all who attended and enjoyed the meal. Our next turkey supper will be on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 5 p.m. Once again there will be limited seating. Reservations and take-outs will be available by calling the Charlestown Senior Center at (603) 826-5987 on Friday, October 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday, October 3, between noon and 2:30 p.m.
We are going to have a yard sale on Saturday, October 17, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Drop by and find some bargains!
We are in the process of updating the doors and walkways to our building with handicap-accessible doors and handicap-accessible walkways to the doors. The ramp to the office door has been completed, the ramp to the main room is near completion, and the ell room entry is next in line. It’s called “Senior Center Modernization!”
Remember to bring nonperishables, paper items, pet food and cleaning items for the Antique Tractor Drive on October 3 to benefit the Charlestown Food Shelf.
