Claremont Senior Center News: September 26, 2020

We are open! Masks are mandatory and social distancing observed. Our times of operation are Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for game night, Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Everyone must sign in for CDC tracking, answer virus-related questions and sign a form before participating in any activity.

Please contact Ken at [email protected] for a required reservation for our Wednesday, Sept. 30, members-only Bingo. Please do not call the center as Ken is making the reservations. Masks must be worn while at the center and social distancing will be enforced. Four players to a table max. Doors open at 11 a.m. Sales start at 12:15 p.m. and end at 12:45 p.m. on the dot. There is a limit of 50, including players and workers.

Our Turkey dinners will resume on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The dinner will be a drive through. Call (603) 543-5998 for a dinner reservation.

During the month of October, the Hannaford Reuseable Bag Program will benefit the Claremont Senior Center. Just purchase a Hannaford Helps Community reusable bag for $2.50 and Hannaford will make a $1 donation to the Center.

A VNA Flu Clinic will take place on Friday, Oct. 2, from 10 a.m. to noon. You must have a reservation. Call the VNA office at (603) 748-1731. Please print and fill out the registration form prior to arriving and bring it to the center when you come for your vaccine. Forms will be available prior to Oct. 2 at the center. Ask for one when you go to the lunch drive-thru or when you can stop by the center during regular hours or print it from home by going to LakeSunapeeVNA.org

The VNA foot clinic is now open for business. Wednesday, Oct. 14; Wednesday, Oct. 21; and Wednesday, Oct. 28. Call for an appointment at (603) 526-4077.

The Blood Drive will be held on Monday, Oct. 19, from noon to 5 p.m. Appointments online or call 1-800-RED CROSS.

Do not forget to schedule Sunday, Nov. 1, for our Winter Craft Fair. We will have a great variety of handmade items on hand. If you wish to join us with your beautiful wares, call (603) 543-5998 or (603) 542-5798 for an application.

The Penny Sale on May 8, 2021, is still in need of items. They can be delivered to the reception area but call ahead in case we are closed.

Pick up from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Don’t miss all this fantastic, freshly prepared goodness. Reservations required. Come and get it! Please smile and wave to your friends! Quiet horn-honking is allowed.
