WINDSOR, Vt. — After a tight first quarter, the Yellow Jackets stepped up their intensity and took control of the game while dominating field possession. Meagan Holling got things rolling for the defending state champions on an assist by Karen Kapuscinski then the flood gates opened in the second period. By the time the dust had settled, Holling had notched her second goal and Ashley Grela added two scores of her own while Kapuscinski and Jenna Hood added assists and all of a sudden it was 4-0 at the break.
Windsor dominated in corners with a 23-0 gap while Madison Leduc and Lindsey Young split time in the goal for Windsor.
Alyssa Slocum went top shelf on a penalty stroke early in the second half followed by scores from the lumber of by Ashley Grela and Jenna Hood while Hannah Wood and Slocum collected assists. Alexina Peckinpaugh netted an unassisted goal and Wood’s score would end the day with an assisted by Slocum.
Windsor hosts Otter Valley on Friday.
