CLAREMONT — The New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association (NHIAA) will be releasing changes to fall schedules soon and it looks the final two Stevens football games are on the chopping block. The Mascoma and Newport games look like they will be canceled in preparations for tournament play. The Claremont school district plans on changing the way students attend class at the start of the next semester and one big impact could be busing as there will be limited transportation for high school sports teams for Stevens High School.

With everything in a state of flux, final details aren’t available at press time but the Eagle Times will have more information next week as we only print Wednesdays and Saturdays. Poody Walsh broke this story and he will be investigating all the details so look for his article next week.

There are also reports that the winter season for basketball will begin in mid-January and conclude in March, but time will tell.
