PK puts Mascoma over Sunapee
A penalty kick decided this one as the Royals came away with a 1-0 win.
It was a very close game as Mascoma probably more possession in the first half including four early corner kicks but the Lakers played better in the second half and the possession tilted their way. The PK was unfortunate as the Lakers were playing very well defensively. Sean Moynihan had several clutch saves. Parker Reed had an exceptional game from his midfield position controlling play.
The Lakers will begin the playoff campaign on Wednesday home against the winner of Wilton and Hinsdale’s play-in game.
