Three Stevens teams walked from their respective Saturday matches with one more win to their season records.

Bernard Cup stays in Claremont

LANGDON — Cooper Moote’s goal came from his keeper position to take a penalty kick and planted it into the lower left corner for the only score of the day as Stevens retained the Bernard Cup on Saturday against Fall Mountain. Trystan Lane was headed toward net before he was fouled in the box resulting in the penalty kick.

Lady Cardinals top Fall Mountain, 2-0

LANGDON — The Cardinals’ Molly Derosier and Kiley Bunday grabbed goals on Saturday while Hannah Miller and Angelina LaClair added assists during the 2-0 win over Fall Mountain. Haley Knight earned the shutout with one save as she came off her line well.

Field hockey nips Newport in overtime, 1-0

NEWPORT — Bri Frisbee’s goal at the 4:50 mark in overtime gave the Cardinals the win on Saturday afternoon in Newport. After a tie with the Tigers on Thursday, another battle will take place in Claremont on Friday at 6 p.m. in tournament action as New Hampshire postseason gets underway.
