The Cardinals tee’d it up on Tuesday morning in the New Hampshire Division 3 Golf Championship with a perfect season on their resumé and came close to the ending the year with a Cinderella story. But the golf gods decided that 2020 wasn’t the year for Stevens as they ended up claiming the runner-up position.
On a blustery rainy day for golf, the Cardinals fell to Bow at the Derryfield Country Club, while the Fall Mountain Wildcats grabbed a fourth place finish.
With only two seniors — Finn Allen and Dylan Adamovich — and golfers returning next year including CJ Naugler, Reeve Wilkinson, Cedric Allen and Matt Eagan, these Stevens golfers have completed the regular season with a 19-0 record while competing against the likes of Lebanon, Fall Mountain, Sunapee, Kearsarge, Newport and Hanover with an eye towards grabbing the crown next season.
