Nanette O. “Nan” Bellavance

Nanette O. “Nan” Bellavance NEWPORT — Nanette Olive “Nan” Bellavance, age 72, passed away peacefully on Dec. 4, 2020, at her home in Newport, surrounded by loving family. She was born on March 23, 1948, in Queens County, New York, to the late Louis and Josephine (Yoerger) LaVigne. Nan grew up on Long Island working as a registered nurse at Winthrop Hospital before moving to New Hampshire more than 30 years ago, where she spent more than 20 years working at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Nan was a very caring person to her family, friends, patients, and even for strangers; she was outgoing and kind to all. She was a wonderful wife and mother. Nan’s first love was serving the Lord and she was a devoted Catholic and active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Newport for more than 30 years. Nan loved to camp and spend time at Loon Lake Campground and she was a talented and lifelong knitter and quilter. Nan was predeceased by her parents. Surviving family include her loving husband of 18 years, Gerry Bellavance of Newport; children, Robert E. Lee and his wife, Lisa, and their daughter, Jenna, of King Park, New York, Kevin Lee, his wife, Jennifer, and their children, Madelyn and Thomas Joseph, of Syosset, New York, Jessica Bellavance of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and Jared Bellavance and his partner, Leona Dubich, of Simpsonville, South Carolina; her brother, Ken LaVigne of Newport; and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Peter and Joanne Bellavance, John and Jeanne Demars, Mary and Gary Ouellette, Steve Bellavance and Gus Diaz, Janet Millette and Dale and Susan J. Bellavance; cousins, Fred and Lois Zilm, Don and Mickey Fearman, Ed and Lynne Fearman and Bob Fearman; and many extended family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Restoration Fund at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 32 Beech St., Newport, NH 03773. A public walkthrough visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main St., Newport, New Hampshire. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, at 1 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery.
