Hazel Morse CONCORD — Hazel Morse, formerly of Bradford, New Hampshire, passed away unexpectedly in the Concord Hospital on Dec. 3, 2020, at the age of 88. She had been living with her husband, George, in the Granite Ledges assisted living home at the time of her death. She was born on Sept. 23, 1932, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Fern and Selma Annis. She graduated from the Massachusetts College of Fine Art in 1952 with a degree in art education. She married George Morse Jr. in 1953 after his tour of duty in the Korean War. After moving to Bradford in 1959, Hazel and George made a home for their three children, Steven, Susan and Andrew, while Hazel worked as a substitute teacher teaching art to young children. She was talented at many forms of art, but was most adept at hooking rugs of which she made many. After retiring in 1992, Hazel and George enjoyed attending local auctions where they collected items and antiques to be sold at flea markets across the state, making many friends along the way. She was predeceased by her only sibling, Coral of Dexter, Maine, who passed away in 1999. She is survived by her husband, George “Bud” Morse, and her three children. Due to the current climate, a graveside service will be held when possible in the spring. The date will be announced at that time.
