Irene B. Stearns

Irene B. Stearns CLAREMONT — Irene B. (Therrien) Andriski Stearns, 93, of Claremont, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully in the care of Sullivan County Healthcare in Unity, New Hampshire, on Dec. 10, 2020, after a long illness. Irene was born in Claremont, New Hampshire, on June 29, 1927, to Joseph and Mamie (Timlin) Therrien. She attended schools in Claremont, and was a lifelong resident of Claremont, New Hampshire. She married Mike P. Andriski on Sept. 3, 1945 (predeceased) and Ted Stearns Sr. in July of 2000 (predeceased). Irene worked at several area businesses and retired from Valley Regional Hospital in 1993 where she worked as a CNA and EKG technician for 26 years. She loved to read, do crosswords and word search and listen to country music. Irene is survived by three children, Brenda Andriski of Hooksett, New Hampshire, Michael J. and his wife, Deborah Andriski, of Laconia, New Hampshire, and Bonnie Dyke of Claremont, New Hampshire; five grandchildren, Christopher Andriski, Jon Andriski, Jodi Bingham, Jeremy Dyke and Heather Bagley; great-grandchildren, Riley, Stone, Lily, Cali, Brody, CJ and Lia; step-grandchildren, Lexi, Sophie and Jackson; two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Gordon Therrien and Harold Therrien, and sister, Beatrice Reynolds; her son, Robert H. Andriski, and grandson, Michael R. Andriski; as well as many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests that you donate to the American Parkinson’s Association, The Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of your choice in Irene’s name. The family would also like to thank the Sullivan County Healthcare staff of Stearns II for their kind and compassionate care for Irene during her final days. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Church in Claremont on Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 11 a.m. with the Very Rev. Shawn Therrien officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the funeral home and Andriski family ask all attending the visitation to abide with all regulations and please wear a mask and use social distancing.
