DANBURY — An unrestrained driver died Monday afternoon after being ejected from his vehicle during a crash in Danbury, according to New Hampshire State Police.
Area and state law enforcement — including personnel from the Bristol Police Department, Danbury Fire & Rescue, Danbury Police Department, and New Hampshire State Police Troop D — responded to a call at approximately 3 p.m. According to investigators, the vehicle was traveling north on Eastern District Road when it veered off and on the road before making contact with the guardrail and some trees.
The driver, 43-year-old Kevin Ramsey, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by Danbury Fire and Rescue. Ramsey, a resident of Alexandria, was not wearing a seatbelt.
Sarah Westland, 36, was a restrained passenger in the car and survived the crash. Westland was transported to Franklin Hospital for possible minor injuries.
Eastern District Road was temporarily closed during the on-scene investigation.
