Madeline I. Nutting UNITY — Madeline I. Nutting, 85, died on the evening of March 31, 2021, at Sullivan County Health Care in Unity, New Hampshire. Born April 17, 1935, in Reading, Vermont, she was the daughter of Horace C. and Julie Mae (Playful) Hoisington. Madeline worked at the Polka Dot Diner for a number of years. She loved to travel but spent much of her time supporting veterans organizations, including the VFW and the American Legion in White River Junction, Vermont. She was predeceased by her husband, Stuart Nutting. She is survived by her son, Chris Crews and wife Bernice; her daughter, Julie Cooper and husband Bob; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hilda and Bernice; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at 1 p.m. in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Bridgewater, Vermont.
