WESTMINSTER, Vt. — Terrier tracksters won their meets on Tuesday with the boys edging Green Mountain by a half a point while the girls won going away.
Bellows Falls’ Elijah Ghia grabbed firsts in the 800m and 1500m while Tylar Stanley won the 300m hurdles, Owen LaRoss capped firsts in the shot put and discus and Tylar Stanley won the pole vault and javelin as Bellows Falls nipped Green Mountain 49.5 to 49.
The Chieftains were led by Mitchell Rounds (long jump), Benjamin Munukka (high jump), the 4×100 relay team of Benjamin Munukka, Liam Benoit, Noah Cherubini and Mitchell Rounds . Also grabbing wins for Green Mountain were Benjamin Munukka(200m) and Mitchell Rounds (100m).
On the girls side, Bellows Falls grabbed 93 points to easily win the meet.
Winners include: Victoria Bassette (100m); Abigail Broadley (800m and 1500m); Maya Waryas (100m hurdles, pole vault, and 300m hurdles); Stephanie Ager, Victoria Bassette, Molly Hodsden and Maya Waryas (4x400m relay); Breanna Stockman (javelin); Tela Harty (triple jump); and Grace Bazin (long jump).
Green Mountain winners included: Grace Tyrrell (200m); Berkley Hutchins, Marlayna King, Greta Bernier, and Grace Tyrrell (4x100m relay); Berkley Hutchins (shot put and discus, high jump).
Final resultsGirls: Bellows Falls 93, Green Mountain 41, Mid Vermont Christian School 8.
Boys: Bellows Falls 49.5, Green Mountain 49, Mid Vermont Christian School 16.5.
