Local Recap: Windsor takes 17-5 win over Fair Haven

The Yellowjackets came out swinging the bats and were very aggressively against Fair Havens Zoe Cole.

“We came into the game ready to swing,” said Windsor softball head coach Heather Stearns. “We put the ball in play and made them make the plays. The whole lineup 1-9 did their job and all contributed to the big win.”

Adriahna Prior lead the way with three hits, two singles, and a double. Jenna Hood had two hits with a single and a double and Paige Kleefisch had two singles for the 11-hit Windsor attack.

Peyton Richardson was on mound with allowing four hits and had seven strikeouts.

Windsor shut down the Slaters after the third inning to get the win.

Next up is Springfield at home on Tuesday.

Stevens netters fall to LebanonThe Cardinals fielded a full roster and played better in their rematch but couldn’t overcome a stronger Lebanon team.

Next up for the Cardinals is a home match against Conant on Tuesday, May 4, at 4 p.m.
