Margaret (Hastings) Moulton

Margaret (Hastings) Moulton UNITY — Margaret L. (Hastings) Moulton, 91, formerly of Route 10S, Grantham, passed away on March 17, 2021, at Sullivan County Healthcare after several years of declining health. She was born on May 7, 1929, the daughter of Dura and Pearl (Richardson) Hastings. Margaret was a native and lifelong resident of Grantham until moving to Sullivan County Healthcare in 2016. She worked at area shoe shops and at Woodlawn Health Center as a nurse’s aide. Retiring in 1992, she had been a housekeeper in the Operating Room at New London Hospital for about 16 years. In her younger years, Margaret enjoyed snowmobiling and had been a member of the Blue Mountain Snow Dusters Snowmobile Club. She used to like to walk and be outside. Margaret enjoyed puzzles, word searches and playing Old Sol. Her husband, Eugene C. Moulton, died in 1992. She was also predeceased by a brother, Nathan Hastings; three half-brothers, Harold, Howard and Herman Barton; brother-in-law, Louis Cote; and sisters-in-law, Mary Treadge and Ann Legacy. Members of her family surviving include her daughter, Diane and her husband, Albert Davis, of Grantham, New Hampshire; two grandsons, David and his wife, Amy Davis, and their son, Joshua, of Marlton, New Jersey, and Darrin and his wife, Joanne Davis, and their sons, Ethan Hill and Seth Rultedge Davis, of Springfield, New Hampshire; a sister, Mavis Cote of West Lebanon, New Hampshire; a brother, Maurice and his wife, Louise Hastings, of Newport, New Hampshire; sisters-in-law, Marty Hastings of Concord, New Hampshire, Linda Gallien of Grantham, New Hampshire, and Janet Clark of White River Junction, Vermont; a brother-in-law, Roland Moulton of Clearwater, Florida; many nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main St., Newport, New Hampshire. Please wear a mask while inside the funeral home. Burial will follow in Grantham Memorial Cemetery, Grantham, New Hampshire. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Hampshire Arthritis Foundation or the New Hampshire Cancer Association.
