Betty E. Boundy

Betty E. Boundy SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — Betty Ellen “Betsy” Boundy, 88, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday morning, May 9, 2021. She was born Aug. 27, 1932, in New Jersey, the daughter of Victor and Elizabeth Cavers. She grew up in Forest Hills, New York, attended local schools, and graduated from Cazenovia College. Betsy met Keith Boundy on the beach on Fire Island, New York, and they were married on April 2, 1960, in Salisbury, Connecticut. She worked as a secretary for investment firms in New York City and upstate New York, and later worked as a secretary for several businesses in Springfield, Vermont. Betsy lived in a world of color and expressed that love through watercolor painting, gardening and quilting. She was a very social person and was a member of the First Congregational Church and the Senior Songsters. Growing up in NYC, Betsy attended many first-run Broadway shows and she loved musical and theater arts. She was known for her vivacious personality. She is survived by her husband, Richard K. Boundy of Springfield; daughter, Victoria C. Boundy, and granddaughter, Lily Collier, both of Topsham, Maine; son, Richard K. Boundy Jr. of Troy, New York; sister, Alicia Hicks of Huntington, New York; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents. A private family service will be held at a later date. Davis Memorial Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
