Vicky L. Wright NEWPORT — Vicky L. Wright, 60, passed away peacefully at her home on June 10, 2021, after several years of declining health. She was born on Dec. 13, 1960, in Newport, New Hampshire, to the late Herbert (Red) and Sally (Eastman) Avery. Vicky grew up in Guild and lived in the Newport area her entire life. She worked as a waitress for many years at local restaurants, including Steak N Stuff and The Pines. Vicky loved children and babysat for many area children while also raising her own family. She was an aide at Richard’s School for several years. Vicky loved warm summer weather and could often be found playing and swimming with kids by her pool. She adored her many pets. Vicky was predeceased by her parents and by a brother, Steven Avery. Surviving family members include her loving husband of many years, Dan Wright Jr., of Newport; son, Steve Wright, of Newport; daughter, Michelle Roth and her husband, William, of Sunapee; grandchildren, Johanna and John Roth; sister, Angela Huff, of Claremont; sister-in-law, Gloria Taylor, of Dover, New Hampshire; and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
