Springfield Senior Center News: July 17, 2021

We have a new crosswalk sign and lights in front of the senior center/community building. Once the button is pressed the lights will flash for cars to stop, and people can cross the road safely. We ask that you please use the crosswalk when crossing the main road for your safely.

We are ready to travel again and will be traveling to Lake Sunapee for a luncheon cruise aboard the MV Kearsarge on Wednesday, Aug. 25. Price for this trip is $54 for active members and $68 for non-active members. Sign up for this trip will be Monday, Aug. 2, at 9 a.m. for active members and 11:00 a.m. for non-active members. You can call the center for more details.

Drop in Cribbage will be every Wednesday at 9 a.m. throughout the summer.

Drop in Shuffleboard will be every Thursday at 1 p.m. throughout the summer. So come on down and have some fun!

Our next nickel bingo will be on Wednesday, July 21, at 1 p.m. Hand & Foot card games will be on Friday, July 23, at 1 p.m.

We also have a Bridge group that meets here on Mondays and they are looking for more folks to join, if interested please call the center for more information.

The Songsters will be starting back up on Friday, Sept. 10, at 9 a.m. They would like to invite new folks to join the group. If interested call the center for more details.

The center will be closed the week of July 26 through July 30.

Appointments will be needed for the foot clinics. You can call the center to schedule one. The price for this service will still be $20. Janet Hunter RN, will be offering clinics on Tuesdays and Thursdays, times will be 12 p.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m.

The meals on wheels senior community lunch have opened their doors again. Come see the newly decorated dining room and have lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
