Raylene Willey Bly

Raylene Willey Bly SUNAPEE — Raylene Willey Bly, born Oct. 11, 1950, to Beverly Bishop Willey and Gerald Willey, earned her angel wings on July 23, 2021, after a two-year battle with cancer. Raylene attended Whitefield school until her senior year and then graduated in the first graduating class of WMRHS. She earned her nursing degree in Claremont, New Hampshire, at NHTI, graduating in the first class of LPNs from that program. After a short time working at Hanover Hospital and Littleton Hospital, Raylene found her passion in caring for the elderly at Woodlawn Nursing Home in Newport, New Hampshire, where she stayed for 50 years. She was a devoted nurse, coworker and friend to many. Raylene was a devoted wife for 41 years to Richard Bly Sr. Together, they raised six children: Dana Warner, Sunapee, New Hampshire; Eric Warner, Sunapee, New Hampshire; David Bly, wife Jennifer, Goshen, New Hampshire; John Bly, wife Julie, Concord, New Hampshire; Ricky Bly, Sunapee; and Angela Scanlon Bly, Newport, New Hampshire. She was blessed by 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Raylene was the eldest of her siblings, leaving behind Dale, wife Cindy, Delaware; Gary, wife Kathy, Maryland; Randy, wife Sheri, Newport, New Hampshire; Dennis, wife Sandra, Dalton, New Hampshire; Vicki Herbert, husband Clayton, Dalton, New Hampshire; Michael, Sunapee, New Hampshire; Linda Willey Diaz, Kimberly Willey Denomme, Robin Dubeau, Cheryl Swider, Tina Lee, Darrell, Allen and Dean. As well as many nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers. Arrangements by Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, Newport, New Hampshire. A celebration of life to be held in the fall.
