Gabriel H. Houle CLAREMONT — Mr. Gabriel H. Houle, 95, formerly of Bow, died on Aug. 12, 2021. He was born in Littleton on July 19, 1926, the son of George Henri Houle and Yvonne (Hebert) Houle. Gabriel was a World War II Army veteran serving stateside at war’s end. He married Anne Langevin in 1953. They raised two sons, Glenn Houle, of Unity, and Michael Houle (deceased), of Roy, Washington. He was employed for several years as an electronic technician for the FAA in Concord and Manchester. Gabriel and Anne travelled across the U.S. and Canada in their motorhome. He was highly involved in the genealogy of both sides of the family. In 2005, he travelled to Australia for two weeks. He and his wife wintered in Frostproof, Florida, every winter where they met many friends. Gabriel liked to fish, make crafts, and puzzles. Family members include his son, Glenn Houle and wife Wendy, of Unity; a brother, Richard Houle, of Enfield, Connecticut; a sister, Georgette Tardie, of South Hero, Vermont; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, parents and son, he was predeceased by siblings, Conrad Houle, of New York, Francis Houle, of Texas, Bernard Houle, of Washington, and Therese Benson, of Connecticut, and Andree Young, of Nashua. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Church, 32 Pearl St., Claremont, on Friday, Aug. 20, at 11 a.m. A visiting hour will be held at the church one hour prior to the Mass. Burial with military honors will be in Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date. Thibault-Neun Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Franklin is assisting with arrangements.
