Claremont Senior Center News: October 9, 2021

Hi everyone! Long time no see! Just thought we would give you a very short update of what’s up at the Center. Here goes!

Yes, we are open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for Game Nights.

We have been busy planning a couple of events.

First, the Winter Wonderland Craft Fair is going well. Date is Saturday, Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Set up if you wish on Friday, Nov. 5, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. We are on the lookout for some more crafters. Always room. We have the raffle baskets ready, maybe a cookie walk, and Ken is planning a warming lunch. We are immersed in blue, silver and a hint of holiday. Ho! Ho! Ho! Call 603-542-5798 for info and an application. Thanks.

Well, the volunteers have had their batteries changed and are ready to serve the meals for Tuesday and Thursday.

Gobble. Gobble. Gobble. Our delicious, fabulous, complete Turkey Dinner will be on Saturday, Oct. 16. Pick up only from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Cost is $10. Call 603-543-5998 to reserve your meals. Yum!

Ladies Pool on Mondays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. is great. What a blast! We laugh a lot, believe us.

Cribbage has started on Mondays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. It’s good to have it back. Join us.

Receptionists are always needed. A couple of hours a week will do.

That’s it for now. I was nice talking to you again. Join us at the center.

Thought for the Week

A bird in the hand is messy.

Laughter and good conversation always welcome.
