Penelope Pearson NEWPORT — Penelope “Penny” Pearson, 69, Newport, New Hampshire, died Oct. 20, 2021, after a long illness and complications from a disabling auto accident 19 years prior. Born June 20, 1952, Penny attended school in Sunapee and New London, New Hampshire, and graduated from Sunapee, then attended Colby Junior College in New London, before heading to Boston to work with friends. She then returned to the Lake Sunapee area to live out her remaining years, working locally in restaurants, retail stores and her business, Olde Toby’s, making folk art. Penny loved to ski, snowshoe, garden and spend time with her animals. Her animals were everything to her. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Penny leaves behind her mother, Anne Richards, Ocala, Florida; her sisters, Vicki Pearson, Newbury, New Hampshire, and Ocala, Florida, and Ann Pearson, Scottsdale, Arizona; her brother, Ian Pearson, Marblehead, Massachusetts; her nieces, Amy, Samantha and Schuyler Dayhoof and family, of Wilmot, New Hampshire; her nephew, Adam Pearson, Sterling, Virginia, and his daughter, Ava. Memorial service date to be determined.
